TL;DR: Visit [0] and consolidate your UMIACS passwords by 4/26/2018 or your
account will be locked.
With the successful Active Directory Migration completed, UMIACS Staff is now
providing a 30 day window to synchronize your UMIACS Kerberos password and your
UMIACS Active Directory password. All UMIACS users will need to update to a
new password with our web application[0] starting March 30th 2018. On April
26th 2018 at 8pm we will be changing our Linux/UNIX authentication to use only
your UMIACS Active Directory password.

You are only required to provide either your current UMIACS Kerberos password
OR your current UMIACS Active Directory password to complete this
consolidation. You will be _required_ to select a new password as part of this
consolidation. Accounts that have not performed a password consolidation
between March 30th 2018 and April 26th 2018 will be locked on April 26th 2018
at 8pm EDT.
UMIACS Staff will _never_ ask for your password over email. For security
reasons, this message is only sent in text form, signed with GPG. You can
confirm its contents by typing explicitly intranet.umiacs.umd.edu into your
browser's address bar and looking for this announcement. Always make sure you
are in a properly secured session by identifying the padlock icon next to the
site in your browser's address bar.
If you have any concerns or questions please contact staff at umiacs.umd.edu or
our Help Desk at 301-405-1775.
